Meeting with martyred police officers’ relatives as well as veteran police officers and their families on the occasion of the Police Day, which marks the 172nd anniversary of the Turkish Police Organization, First Lady Emine Erdoğan said: “Where the consciences fail, the police step in and secure peace.”
Speaking at an exhibition, titled “What is left to us from the Ottomans of Aleppo”, First Lady Emine Erdoğan voiced her regrets that the geography which used to be the address of peace for centuries is today known for a ruthless war, and said: “People, history, culture, everything is being destroyed. Historical artifacts are being plundered and humanity’s heritage is being passed into other hands. Who knows in which museums we will see Aleppo’s own heritage in a few years?”
